TRIPLE-O APPOINTS TONY ABBIS CHAIRMAN OF THE BOARD (Oct. 2000)

Tony Abbis (r) of Menlo Park, California, has been appointed Chairman of the Board of Triple-O Microscopy GmbH. He is seen here being welcomed recently in Germany by Dr. Frank J. Reineke, founder of Triple-O.

Mr. Abbis has had a long and distinguished career in the scientific community worldwide. He held the posts of

President, Bausch & Lomb Scientific Instruments Group; President, Applied Research Labs; Senior VP, TopoMetrix; and International Manager for the Scientific Instruments Division of Hewlett Packard.

His global marketing experience spans the pharmaceutical, semiconductor, environmental, steel, cement industries. Currently Mr. Abbis is the Manager of North American Sales for Solid State Measurements, Inc., based in California.
